MemLok Bible Memory System was founded in 1989 by Drake Mariani.
Drake’s goal was to create an effective tool to encourage people of all ages toward a sustainable, lifetime commitment of memorizing God’s Word. The MemLok Bible Memory System has been shipped to over 65 countries.
The first MemLok Bible Memory System was introduced as a notebook with memory cards. In 1990, MemLok was introduced in the NASB translation. Between 1991 and 1999, MemLok added the NIV, KJV, and NKJV translations.
On the success of the “Name that Book” computer game in 1997, MemLok began developing a memory system for the Windows computer operating system. The ESV translation was created. Over the past 15 years MemLok has introduced several software upgrades to its original memory system.
In October 2015, MemLok launched a beta version of its first mobile app for Apple iOS, Google Android, and Amazon Kindle. In it's first 18 months the Bible Memory by MemLok mobile app has been downloaded by over 50,000 users in over 140 countries.
