The Best Way to Overcome Anger is By Seeking God, Else It Can Make Your Life Worse Than Ever
Isn’t it interesting that no matter how hard we try to stay calm, once in awhile we get hit by a massive blow of anger?
You see it in your personal life, in your family, in your society and all across the globe.
Losing temper on everyday things that agitate us only makes things worse. It directly impacts our relationships. That’s why understanding anger and how to deal with it is so crucial to living a healthy life.
If you genuinely want to tackle this uncomfortable issue, it’s important to handle…
it God’s way.
In our emotionally abusive culture everyone seeks quick fixes and relies on self-help, however, God calls us to let Him intervene in the situation.
Find the Root Cause of Anger and Face the Truth
Hint: It’s usually masked.
Whether or not you realize, your anger almost always gets triggered by something deep.
If someone has mistreated you, you get hurt and ultimately get angry. When your progress is hindered by others, you get frustrated and demonstrate anger. In any phase of your life, if you got abused verbally, emotionally or physically, you felt helpless and hence got angry.
Did you catch the root causes here?
Hurt. Frustration. Helplessness.
You see, there’s an underlying cause behind anger. And as soon as you catch it, dealing with it becomes easier.
So, if you have the habit of becoming angry at normal things then do some reverse engineering. The process will lead you to address the actual matter.
Ready to Get Rid of Anger by Facing the Truth?
Psalm 37:8-9 says:
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.
Anger will only lead to evil and disaster. Therefore, accept the truth that you can’t get rid of it on your own. Once you surrender to God with this weakness, He will wipe it away with His love.
