How to Love Like God Loves
To Learn the Practical Ways to Love Others We Need to Understand God’s Unfailing Love
“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” 1 John 4:8
We have heard it over a million times (perhaps more), “God is love.”
That He loves all His creation wholeheartedly, that His love is everlasting. However, for many of us this is not the reality of our lives. We, the very creation of God, are at times, unable to feel His love even though He loves us with an everlasting love.
The reality is we consider God’s love to be unconditional for us. The kind of love that always flows even when we don’t obey God.
But, in our day to day lives, loving our family, friends, relatives and others who God brings to us doesn’t come that easy.
We expect God’s love in the purest form but…

How did God love us?
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
That’s the love of God.
Pure and everlasting!
How can I say that?
Because Jesus died for all of us and the purpose was that we get eternal life. God loved us by paying a huge price – the blood of Jesus – His one and only Son.
He expects us to do the same.
Why Love Others God’s Way?
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35
Let’s look at this verse closely.
Firstly, God is calling us to love one another (including our enemies) just like He loved us. Precisely, we need to learn to make sacrifices for others no matter how huge they are because God made the biggest sacrifice for all mankind.
Secondly, He wants us to love one another so everyone will know that we are the followers of Jesus.
Ready To Love Like God Loves?
The Scripture mentions clearly to love one another so everyone knows that we are the disciples of Jesus.
Scriptures like these are so important that we should always remember them. Why? So we can make the most of every opportunity to love others.
