Are You Aware You Have A Problem?

It was 1964. I was 21. I wasn't aware I had a BIG NEED. Total CHANGE. I was excited to hitchhike with Richard Schmidt from San Bernardino CA to the World's Fair in New York! But then everything changed. For a year, Rich had been praying I wouldn't be able to go to sleep - wondering about God. I was calling myself an atheist so people would stop telling me about Jesus. Really, I just didn't know what to think. I was an agnostic. A "Not-Knower". To be honest I was fearful that if there really was a God, I was in Trouble. I was NOT aware of HOW big the trouble I was. I needed to change.

Would You Like To Change Your Life's Direction?

Acknowledge To God You Need Him

Change began: I became aware in my heart I wasn't good enough to get into heaven. I fell into total a self-centered lifestyle doing a lot of really wrong things. To cut to the chase, I finally admitted I was a sinner in need of a Savior. Jesus Christ took over my life. Immediately my filthy mouth was washed clean. I was completely changed.

Follow Where He Leads You

Other changes were to follow. The Bible says to "do all for God's Glory", so we took Mark 6:7-8 literally and began hitchhiking with not a penny in our pockets and asked nearly everyone we met "If you were to die today, would be 100% sure you'd go to heaven?" From there we explained the Good News that one just needs to resolve to turn from selfishness and commit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We were gone 35 days! My life was changed forever. Thanks Lord. Thanks Rich!
