When She Awoke, Heaviness Was Hopeless
Feeling Hopeless / Depression Can Change With Bible Memory
By Drake Mariani | Founder, MemLok Bible Memory System
When she awoke, she felt hopeless and depression was heavy. She could do nothing but sob - and sob - and sob. Truth is, we've been married 50 years BUT, we've experienced this hopelessness too.
Feeling hopeless is like the difference between the Weather and the Climate.
When she awoke, she felt hopeless and depression was heavy. She could do nothing but sob - and sob - and sob. Truth is, we've been married 50 years BUT, we've experienced this hopelessness too. I see hopelessness in terms of the difference between the Weather and the Climate.
Weather is a temporary view. Climate is the longer, fuller view. In God's economy, He's taken care of His believers. All is well - He has controlled the ultimate Climate - we're fully forgiven and He will sustain us until The Day Jesus Returns. He is Good. We have MUCH to be grateful for even in our current situation, but.... all we seem to focus on is the STORM currently drowning us. Weather... It's the now and it's devastating. All is lost. Nothing is going right. The worst is yet to come and we can't do a thing about it - we say.
Praise God, The climate always wins over the weather. Praising God for them both is how we escape hopelessness. It's a choice. A hard one emotionally. But, once we begin to focus on praising God for even one little thing we are grateful for, we can open up the Hope gates and close the tear ducts. God is watching with deep compassion. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Bible memory will help!
