5 Ways to Kickstart Your Day with Joy

As a Christian, Being Joyful Should Be Your Second Nature Because Joy is a Gift from God for His Children.

While the world runs after happiness, as a Christian, you can start and end our day with joy for the rest of your life.

Joy is a state of mind and an orientation of the heart.

It is a settled state of contentment, confidence, and hope.

It is something or someone that provides a source of happiness.

Joy appears 88 times in the Old Testament in 22 books and 57 times in the New Testament in 18 books.

Pretty clear how significant it is for God.

As a Christian, you should always find reasons to be joyful.

Joy isn't just a smile or a laugh. Joy is something that is deep within and doesn't leave quickly.

When we have the joy of the Lord, we'll know it and so will others.

Since joy is given by God and something that He wants us to have, we should choose to be joyful every morning.

In addition to being joyful, we should let others have their joy and not bring them down when they are excited about good things. The only thing worse than not having joy is stealing someone else's.

Spending eternity in Heaven with God, the saints, and the angels is incredible! But what about the day to day choices we make?

So, today, choose joy!

Why?

Because satan's lie will always be:

"Your life is destined to remain miserable. God won't help you."

However, God's reply will always be:

"Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven. " - Luke 10:20

And your choice can always be:

“You will make known to me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; In your right hand there are pleasures forever.” Psalm 16:11

Here Are the 5 Ways to Kickstart Your Day with Joy

1) Be grateful

The most direct path to having joy in your life is to develop a grateful heart.

And the fastest means to travel down this path is to be present to all the blessings in your life. You can do this by reflecting on your blessings regularly and appreciating them in the moment.

Expressing your gratitude in words or actions to others when you sincerely feel it transforms appreciation from a fleeting thought into a living and shared connection.

2) Do something which makes you happy

Think about a time when you were the happiest.

Were you dancing, taking nature walks, listening to music?

Good, now go do that.

Doing what makes you happy again and again is a powerful source of well-being.

3) Contribute to Someone’s Life

We are most joyous when we’re doing something that touches the hearts of people around us. Whether you’re helping your dear ones or strangers, online or offline, find a way to make meaningful connections and contribution to others’ lives.

It will give your life greater meaning.

4) Practice kinder, gentler self-talk

If you stop for a moment, close your eyes, and listen. Do you hear that voice?

Yeah...it’s you talking to yourself.

Everybody does it. It's like the soundtrack of our daily life.

If you can’t turn it off, then change the volume and change the conversation.

If you have to listen to the voice in your head, be kinder to yourself. If you do, you’ll also be kinder to others.

In simple words, be kind to yourself so you can spread kindness through you every single day.

5) Find a creative outlet

Do something which activates the right side of your brain. Something creative.

Try singing, take up a musical instrument, art, or writing.

Do what you can do consistently to fire yourself up so you can easily hit each day with a joyful heart.

Do something which makes you feel alive no matter your circumstances.

Which Option You Will Choose to Be Joyful Today?

I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your Word.” Psalm 119:14

Doesn’t this verse give the essence of living a joyful life?

I believe it does.

And you know what, the most interesting part is that many of us don’t know what can make and keep us joyful every day.

However, you can easily get the secrets of leading a joyful life the moment you grab the MemLok app.

How?

You’ll get to not only memorize but retain the scriptures that teach on how to be joyful for the rest of your life.

Are you ready?

I have been with MemLok for about a year. I have found this app's approach to memorizing scripture easier and more relevant than other apps. I especially enjoy reading about Drake's encounters with others, encouraging them thru scripture and his experiences. Most of all, I enjoyed speaking directly to him when I needed to upgrade the app (at no additional cost). He was very patient, full of joy, with a Godly spirit. Allen Napoleon
